New Autumn menu from Metropol Chef
This autumn we invite you to the restaurants of the Metropol hotel to taste our season’s menu prepared by the new executive chef, Andrey Shmakov. The chef of the Metropol’s restaurants has vast experience working in European restaurants, most of which have been awarded with Michelin stars. His list of honorary titles and awards for victories in culinary competitions in Russia and Europe is really impressive. Andrey has been repeatedly invited to form part of the jury in professional contests.
Presently, Andrey is working on the new menu for the restaurants of the legendary hotel. “No self-respecting chef will copy recipes invented by someone else,” – believes Andrey. His zeal to take the best from every cuisine of the world: the Scandinavian thoroughness, the Italian cheerfulness and the French refinement, is perfectly balanced with the desire to share the best achievements of the Russian cuisine with the world. Andrey’s principle is to keep the cuisine in tune with the season and use local products. Therefore autumn menu will include dishes of venison, mushrooms, vegetables and northern berries: cloudberries, foxberries, ashberries.
