The tradition to hold splendid banquets in the restaurants of the "Metropol" Hotel is over 100 years old. As far back as the early 20th century, at the time of its "youthfulness", as is nowadays, the restaurant has been a favourite meeting place for business élite and people of art. Many banquets, presentations, fashionable wedding ceremonies have been held there in the last few years.
The recent, especially memorable, event was the "golden wedding" of great musician Mstislav Rostropovich and remarkable singer Galina Vishnevskaya, the International Women's Forum where about 400 delegates from all over the world were present, demonstration of recent collections of Russian modeler Valentin Yudashkin.

The colours of the walls give this venue its name. The luxurious chandelier, wall lighting fixtures, three stained-glass windows make an unforgettable impression. The ceiling is decorated in the English modernist style. The Hall is multifunctional: here a splendid ball, a press conference, buffet luncheons may be held.
In 1950 a famous banquet was given here by Mao Tsedung in honour of signing the Soviet-Chinese Treaty of Friendship. The main guest at the banquet was Stalin. In the recent 15 years many important conferences, presentations and banquets have been held in this prime event venue in Moscow.

Enormous wall mirrors visually broaden the extended hall. An unusual stucco-moulding on the hall ceiling is especially noteworthy. Here, buffet luncheons and meetings are held. The Mirror Hall may be also used as a place to register participants in events held in the Red Hall and the Metropol Restaurant.
This is our modern conference hall in Moscow, with seating capacity for 297, featuring with state-of-the-art equipment for simultaneous translation into 5 languages. The Hall may be used as a first class cinema.
"Savva Morozov" Hall
This Hall is located on the first floor of the Hotel. At the entrance a registration point may be arranged. Lighting is artificial.
This event venue was named after the famous art patron of the early 20th century can be used for banquets, meetings; very often it is a place for holding press conferences. The venue’s ceiling is stylized as a Russian izba (peasant's cottage) and decorated with two original metal chandeliers of Russian make dating back to the early 20th century. Not without reason, in the early 20th century the Hall was called a "Russian private room". Two gilded candelabra look as the Hall's adornment. From the balcony a magnificent view of the "Metropol" Restaurant unfolds.
In the recent 15 years a great number of press conferences of government delegations from many countries were held here, specifically from France, Canada, Japan; Pierre Cardin, Montserrat Cabalie, Ani Gerardeau and other celebrities spoke to journalists here.

The Chekhov Hall is a very beautiful hall with two stained-glass windows. It is decorated with stucco-moulding and unusual painting on the ceiling based on the themes of the Venetian carnival (painter of the early 20th century I. Nivinsky). On the walls there are photos devoted to great Russian writer A.P. Chekhov.

Here in the luxurious Boyarsky zal styled as boyard chambers you have an opportunity to taste the traditional Russian cuisine. The recipes for these dishes have been passed from generation to generation of the Metropols cooks. As a true Russian feast cant be without songs, Zhavoronki folk ensemble will entertain the guests with the best of Russian songs. The guests can also learn about some ancient Russian rituals and take part in traditional Russian games.
The feast will last for 1,5-2 hours.
Music will be performed twice for 20 minutes.
Reservations can be made for a group of 25-80 people.
